Come nightfall, we will witness a Sangeet ceremony like never before. This ceremony will be fashioned to function as more of an award ceremony with a slew of awards being handed out.
The much-awaited big day.
This ceremony happens a day before the big wedding and entails a series of traditions which starts with seven married women pouring oil onto the bride’s head. That’s right, after the groom being marinated in haldi, it’s time for the tarka.
The mehendi ceremony itself is a fun-filled occasion where the bride and her entourage along with all the ladies get their hands and feet decked out with stellar patterns and designs amidst laughter, song and dance.
A mix of traditions, fun, laughter and the aroma of turmeric in the air – the Haldi ceremony is all this and much more.
